If your Scout is interested in being on the PLC they MUST apply and be interviewed for the position.    Use the link to go to the SPL application after completing the Youth Volunteer Application

Senior Patrol Leader

The SPL will be an integral part of Cub Camp. The Cub Scouts look up to their SPL so we expect someone to be responsible and mature; to act in a Scouting manner as a leader. Each Cub Camp session will require a Senior Patrol Leader and one or more Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders. There are two sessions of Cub Camp:

The SPL and ASPLs will lead the opening and closing ceremonies each day at camp. They will need to keep the campers engaged during these ceremonies which include an opening and closing flag ceremony, an appropriate skit, and a couple of fun songs. You will dismiss the campers at the end of the opening ceremony in an orderly fashion to move to their 1st rotation.

During camp rotations, you will need to check the water stations to see if they need to be refilled, award dens with Spirit Awards for their cheers, and check in with the other Boy Scouts serving around camp. All Boy Scouts receives service hours for their service at Cub Camp.
